Educational objectives of premed in Seoul National University
• Students should get prepared with academic basis on natural science, social science and humanities in order to seek human and medicine.
• Students should acquire self-directed and cooperative learning ability by self-examination, self-improvement, and self-evaluation.
• Students should acquire ability to communicate and cooperate with interdisciplinary fields or members of the society and to cope actively with changing circumstances.
• Students should acquire philosophical, logical thinking ability, and capacity of expression with basic ability in research and education.
• Students should acquire empathic ability with warmheartedness and service spirit as preliminary physician.
Targeted objectives of premed in Seoul National University
• Prerequisite item
 - Students should acquire self-management and self-directed learning ability by making self-improvement portfolio.
 - Students should accomplish voluntary service over 60 hours during the period of premed.
• Selective item
 - Students should complete curriculum path model according to their ability and interest for the excellence of education.
 - Students should complete subjects above 20 credits in humanities and social sciences (except for Korean and English subjects).
 - Students should have qualification for researcher by participating SNU medical research mentoring program and preparation of papers.
 - Students should have competence in English by the verification of TEPS scoring above 850 or TOEFL scoring above 100 until 3 semesters before the completion of premed.
 - Students should complete more than one leadership-related program established in Seoul National University.
